I miss the painted movie posters and DVD covers. Can't remember the last time I saw one.

These things are cyclic and I'm sure we will see a return to painted movie posters at some point, although it seems as though fewer artists have the capability to truly draw or paint anymore. I find it surprising the amount of distorted proportions, awkward perspectives and Photoshop shortcuts done by individuals labled as professionals while flipping through books at my LCS. Seems to me some of the work would have appeared in fanzines during the 70's and 80's, but surely would not have been published by the big two at that time.

I think you're highly mistaken. There are more talented artists now than ever.

Ron! Dude! Ever consider doing a DVD cover for William Castle's "The Night Walker"? I keep meaning to ask. *grin* Damn thing is one of Castle's few films NOT on DVD, and Ive got a boot, with a horrid crappy cover. Hoping you can put it on your "list".

Nope, I've never considered it. :p

Actually have that as part of a custom Castle collection, love the poster for it. I'll give it a go as long as you don't mind a looonnnggg wait.

Maybe not that long of a wait....

and...

I have the Midnight Movies Double Feature featuring this and Countess Dracula, but I couldn't pass up the two awesome posters I found. So two for the price of one...

Very nice.
Too lazy to type to the degree you deserve.
That's big-time props!
