A question for illustrators: Do strong emotions affect the way you render people or things?

Hypothetical: If you just got into a huge argument with your lover, do you notice a change in the way you draw the opposite sex?

I turned my aggression towards ex-girlfriends into a mini-comic and got it out of my system. Best story I ever did.

Absolutely, sometimes the mood can completely change the look and the feel of the project.

Yep. I find I'm more focussed when painting when I'm angry. I also tend to paint faster.

This seems quite problematic. In order to maximize efficiency and production you've got to be in a bad mood. A hell of a tradeoff when you need to sacrifice peace of mind for determined focus.

Yep. It made me a damn efficient painter back at Digital Chameleon (I was pretty angry on a fairly regular basis for the last couple of years working there), but it also got me a trip to the hospital :sigh:

Everything turned out okay, but I really don't want to be in that sorta situation all the time anymore :)
