Nice1 I like how you made the characters pop from the detailed background.

Thanks, guys :)

This piece was done back in '95, and I've got it hanging on my living room wall. I only just got around to scanning it this morning, however.

I can't quite tell, is that just pencil, or is there some whash there as well?

You can definitely see your style was there already. I love the composition, and I always enjoy a piece with just one piece of color in it somewhere.

Nicely done, Ian.

It's just pencil - from what I recall, just a lot of tedius hand-shading to get that wash effect, first laying down shading in 2H, then building it up with HB, then the darker stuff in a 2B and 3B. No smudging or anything like that, either.

And thanks Mark :D

A new piece, something I'll be making a colour print of.

Cool,

Are you going to ink it, or just go straight to color?

I'll be going straight to colour with this piece.

This is an all-digital piece I did a few years ago - I did the original Photoshopping on a different computer, and never got a copy of that file saved. So, this is a kindofa crappy scan of the printout I had made of it.

Thanks again, folks :D

Here's that latest Paul Smith piece that I did for Gerry. For some reason, the version that Gerry posted came out a bit more saturated than this version...I'm not sure why.
