Darren, good technique on the illustration. I'm not sure if it's the long jawline or long hair, but the face isn't quite giving me the Power Girl vibe. It almost looks like Supergirl in the Powergirl costume.

Nice job! I don't see her as having a long jaw line but rather her chin is tucked and she is bowing her head forward.

This isn't necessarily a traditional look for either one, but kinda shows the difference between the two characters. The hair length, the difference in the length of their faces. (Power Girl's face is usually rounder than Supergirl's.)...

Thanks guys. One of the first things I did when playing around with this character, two years ago was lengthen her hair. It was an effort to make her more my own version. In the last two years I've done about twenty such sketches and I'm at a loss, beyond the obvious, to explain my love affair with this character.
Greg is right, the head is dipped forward placing the chin as a contour line in perspective. Beyond that, in my version I decded that she's "powerful" and didn't shy away from suggesting muscle, without going overboard and losing the puppy fat most people tend to stick on her cheeks.

Ooooo, purty!
Great job Greg, I really like the way her right [camera left] glove came out. Nice touches!

Thanks to both of you! Can't do good coloring unless you start with a good drawing!
