A few of us here have been creating fake John Byrne covers in a thread over on the Byrne board. How about trying it here with some other artists?

This is an uninked Alan Davis image that I have coloured, and turned into a cover, complete with a suitably inappropriate plug...

Anyone else care to try?

By the way does anyone know where the original image comes from?

Here's two that I've done, all Byrne. I'm working on one now from a Norm Breyfogle commission. The Wolverine cover was done using Gerry's colors with some minor tweaking.

David Byrne as in Talking Heads or as Peter David and John Byrne?

Somehow I don't think that collaboration is too likely but let's not get into that in this thread.

Thank's Gerry, that was the original image I worked off, but it was saved on my hard drive so I had no reference.

While I'm sure David Byrne would be a phenomenal comic book writer and artist, in this case it was PAD and JB. And yeah, it'll never happen.
