Lookin' good, Derek, thanks for sharing your work. You've done some fine stuff.

We're going to set up a color-off between you and Gerry. ;)

I like what I see, but you really made Wolverine jump out of the page on that one. Beautiful work, Derek!

I love how you did outerspace with color Derek on the X-Men page, both you and Rick deserve praise

Mark,

Just to clarify, Rick Hannah colored the Wolverine montage and yes that Wolverine literally jumps off the page. I hope Rick will continue to color and post his work here or at CAF.

Derek, I had no idea! But seriously, thanks for thinking my work on that Wolverine thingie was worthy of posting here. I appreciate it very much.

I was specifically invited to join here by Patrick (is he still here?) so now I have.

Hello to everyone. Glad to be here. I know I'm liable to see a few faces I have not seen in awhile.

And Derek and Patrick, thanks again.

Yee-haw! Welcome aboard Rick. I'll take down the Wolverine once you have your own thread.

Welcome, Rick. Your work on that Wolverine montage was fan-fookin'-tastic. Post more!

Coming from you Ian that really means something. Trying to reach your level, but that is going to take a lot of work. I've really enjoyed what you have been doing for Bob and your Tomb pages were some great sequential pages. Are you coloring any books right now?

Thanks, Derek :)

I'm working on a Kolchak mini for Moonstone, another couple of books for Zeros2Heroes (stuff that should be getting promoted soon, I hope), and am talking with people about two other books.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. And yes, especially from you, Ian. I remember seeing your coloring of Gerry's Defenders piece from Smith and thinking it wasn't too different from how I would do it. The colors weren't dull or faded! There wasn't a lot of fancy effects! That encouraged me when I saw it.

Pat Ditton was always telling me my work would be appreciated here. And by God, if we decide to change a black line to color here, we can!

But Derek, this is your thread, so where is more of your work? And don't tell us it's not worthy. You have many fine pieces already done you can place here.

Here, here. That's one of the first things I thought of.

I'm working on a Kolchak mini for Moonstone

I'll be sure to check it out.

Ewww!!! Let's call those pieces practice. If someone is really dying to see them they can visit my CAF.

Awesome! I was mostly IMWAN free this weekend, but I return to see Derek's putting up some of his fabulous color work. Excellent!

Derek, I don't think we ever communicated before I was...er...politely asked to leave JB's house....but I lurked over there just to enjoy some of your (and others) coloring work. Your stuff has been made into my desktop wallpaper more than a few times.

Your coloring on the Wolverine commish is too cool for school.
