Nice. So you're attaching the head after the torso is baked?

Thanks Judge , Nagoo! I'm glad you guys are enjoying these! Paulo wrote: Nice. So you're attaching the head after the torso is baked? Yes. Through trial and error ( a lot of error), I found that it's easier to sculpt the head and hand separately and then attach and blend together. Same with details like belts, weapons, hair, etc. One of the great things about sculpey is that you can add to the piece and bake it again and again. It gets stronger each time.

Some updates: Hulk at final sculpt, before baking. Wolverine stages. In the 2nd pic I've shot him with some primer so I can see the rough areas that need sanding and touch up sculpting. Almost done.

None yet, but I've just made an armature that *might* become Doc bust. Not sure really. I am finishing up a Johnny Impossible that has been sitting here forever with no hands...

The statuary found in Skyrim is pretty sweet. Would you ever consider using some of that as inspiration?

I'd have to revisit the game and see, but at some point I'd like to do all kinds of sculpture. Top on my list is doing one of those cowboy by the fire types, in bronze. But I think that's a ways off.

I was concerned that I sculpted the head too small, so I did a slightly larger one. Now I think the smaller one might actually be fine. I've also continued to bulk up and refine part. I slightly adjusted the back leg for a taller pose. Thoughts? Original head. New larger head

Original head looks better to me.
