The Beatles Day by Day follows the group through their astonishing and turbulent period of unmatched success, ending at the break up of the band in 1970. Paul McCartney publicly announced he was leaving in April 1970, and after legal wrangling, the formal break up occurred in January 1975.

This book includes details of all the recording sessions, all the tours, and all the major incidents in their personal lives. Panels and sidebars list all the tracks that they recorded, and contain first hand accounts from those who saw them or worked with them. The book not only illustrates their own personal development, but also shows how they fitted into the Sixties Zeitgeist.
