Well, it's very interesting to me that the Lost Generation of Marvel superheroes vanished...
...during an attempted Skrull invasion of Earth... much like what may be happening in current Marvel continuity.
I wonder if the Lost Generation will play any role at all in the coming events.
I initially didn't care for the LG series, mostly because I was distracted by John Byrne's art, which has evolved over the years into not being my cup-of-tea. In ignoring the art and looking at everything else about the idea, I think it's pretty cool. I especially like the way the story was told out-of-sequence.

Is there a trade of this? Never paid much attention to this and I didn't even know Uncle Rog was part of the creative team until just now when I looked it up to find out more.

I just checked Amazon and didn't see one. I know they made some action figures, though.

My favorite thing about the series is that it can be read forward (issue 1-12) or backwards (issue 12-1) and you can easily follow what's going on.
My questions for Unca Rog are: What, if any, were some of the unique challenges you faced in writing a series with two storylines running in opposite directions through time? What kind of charts and graphs, again, if any, were necessary to keep it all straight?

No tpb and I think any action figures were one-of-a-kind customs. I could be mistaken...

I believe The Black Fox and a few other characters made it into the updated Marvel Handbooks that they had been putting out over the last few years.

I checked Wikipedia; both the First Line and The Monster Hunters (Ulysses Bloodstone, Makkari, Dr. Druid and T'Challa's Mum, Zawadi) have entries. These entries have links to this site -

I'm a big fan of Lost Generation, by the way. I enjoyed the fact that various characters were Inhumans, Makkari (of the Eternals) was posing as 'Mac Curry' in the Monster Hunters (as Icarus did in Kirby's original Eternals series, calling himself 'Ike Harris'), and that they were involved with the Deviants and Skrulls, etc. Lots of untapped Marvel goodness in there, I thought. I liked it for the same reasons I liked Agents of Atlas.
I'd like to see if any of these characters (apart from Pixie) survived into the post-FF Marvel Universe in some way. If they could unceremoniously shoehorn The Sentinel into continuity, there's no reason why some of those guys who battled the Skrulls couldn't have turned up somehow. Pixie was around much later (obviously), so why not?

We just need the right writer (or even artist in some cases...) to get on a title to go "Hey, here's a crazy idea.."
Roger Stern being the ideal writer to make that happen.
But I could see Jeff Parker, Dan Slott or even Bendis(!) doing something with these characters in the future.

Dan Slott would be awesome writing these characters. He's my favourite of the current bunch of younger guys at Marvel.

Big fan of the Lost Generation characters and mini-series. Really wish Marvel would do something with these characters.
Rog, did you have a favourite or two?

Is there any royalties issue with John Byrne? I've heard from other sources that when Marvel is faced with decisions that have a royalty payout for Byrne, they choose the lessor path.
I'd love to see more Lost Gen -- make it a huge hit so the one page I own from the series becomes more valuable. LOL
