If it's not too personal a question, what's your relationship with the folks at Marvel like? Would you work there if asked? Do you still submit proposals to them?

Yeah, would you write anything, and if yes, what would you want to do?

Well, I do know a few people who are still working at Marvel...and I've had contact with a few more. But there seems to be a communication problem. A number of editors don't return my phone calls or answer my emails.

A few years back, there was an editor who expressed great interest in my writing some Spider-Man stories to tie in with the first movie. He promised to "get right back to me." Still waiting.

I would never say never.

On the other hand, I'm not privy to what's going on there these days, so I'm not sure what would be available to me.

The wonderful thing about comics is that new editors are always cycling in.

(The unfortunate thing is that good editors also cycle out...but that's life.)

That is a good thing. You know, I ought to be sending my stuff to editors more often at the majors, especially when new ones come in.
