If only Roger was the regular writer, this book would be back on my pull list.
Well, at least we will have one issue by uncle Rog. Not so bad.

It's still cool to see Uncle Rog's name on comix after all these years. Hope that didn't make Rog feel old ... though it did indeed make me feel old. Need a beer.

How long has it been, exactly?

He co-wrote some of the Iron Man issues that Busiek did, as well as Avengers Forever. I think he might have worked on Power Company a bit, too, but I'm not sure. Plus, there's Army of Darkness vs Darkman.

That was Darkman vs the Army of Darkness. (I insist on the top billing for Doc Westlake.)

Before that, the last new work of mine from the Big Two was Avengers: Ultron Imperative back in '01.

I've written other stories for comics since, but nothing that has (yet) seen print in North America.

That sure looks great! Whose art is that? It looks like John Robinson, who painted STARMAN covers for a while, near the end of the series.

Jose Ladronn has been the regular cover artist, so he probably produced that one, too. (We're just not used to seeing him use bright colors).

Who's that Roger Stern guy writing this? Has he worked in comics before? Will he respect the characters?

Boy, he'd better! If he doesn't show any respect for Gail's work, we should all bad-mouth him on as many message boards as we can find.



On a lighter note, I've seen Mike Norton's layouts for the issue in question, and they are SWEE-E-E-E-E-E-E-T!

Looks like I'll have to pick up one more issue of Atom, I dropped it a few months ago, but if Uncle Rog is writing this issue......

DC should be giving this Stern guy more work. I think he's got potential.

I'd still buy it if Roger was the regular writer. No offense to Gail, but I only bought it for the Byrne art. No Byrne, no buy. With Stern, I return.

Haven't picked up any issues before, but this may be worth it.
