I don't know if there are any IMWANers in the mountain states, but I'll be taking part in a store signing on May 19th at Mile High Comics' Jason St. Mega-Store at 46th and Jason in Denver, Colorado.

More to come ...

"On Saturday, May 19th, we will be hosting a personal appearance at our Jason St. Mega-Store <http://www.milehighcomics.com/information/maps/> by legendary comics writer, Roger Stern. As a part of his visit to Denver, Roger has agreed to also sign a limited number of autographs for fans who shop with us from around the world. We will begin taking advance requests for comics signed by Roger today, and will ship them to you on Monday, May 21st.

"To reserve Roger's autograph, simply order from our website -- http://milehighcomics.com/ -- any of the thousands of great comics that Roger has written over the years, and then also indicate how many of them you would like to have autographed. As with our previous autograph offers from Jim Shooter and Chris Claremont, there is a $2 fee per autograph -- http://milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=enlarge&issue=69954125187%201 -- all of the proceeds of which go to offset the travel costs of bringing our comics guests to Denver. In exchange for your $2 per autograph fee you receive not only your signed comics, but also a nice certificate of authenticity for each issue. We've received exceptionally positive feedback about our past autograph programs, so I am really happy that Roger agreed to make this wonderful opportunity available for you."

Sorry, Jeff.

If it's any help, I'm planning to be at Baltimore-Con.

Oh, and here's the News Release that was sent out ...

Avengers Writer to Appear at Denver Comic Book Store

Avengers writer Roger Stern will appear at Mile High Comics' Jason Street Mega Store -- 4600 Jason Street, Denver, Colorado, on Saturday, May 19, from 10:00am to 3:00pm -- to meet the public and sign copies of his recent comics, his novels, and collections of his many comic-book stories.

With more than thirty-five years of experience in the comic book industry, Roger has written hundreds of stories about such diverse characters as Superman, Green Lantern, Supergirl, and the Justice League for DC Comics; and Spider–Man, Captain America, Iron Man, and the Incredible Hulk for Marvel. For five years, he wrote the Avengers for Marvel Comics; and for ten years, he was the senior writer of the Superman series of comics for DC, contributing to Action Comics, Superman, The Adventures of Superman, Superman: The Man of Steel, and Superman: The Man of Tomorrow.

Stern is the New York Times best-selling author of The Death and Life of Superman, and his comics stories have been collected in dozens of editions, including Avengers: Under Siege, The Death and Return of Superman Omnibus, Darkman vs. the Army of Darkness, and Captain America: War & Remembrance. He has also written several graphic novels, including Superman: A Nation Divided, Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment, and The Incredible Hulk vs. Superman.

Stern's second prose novel, Smallville: Strange Visitors, was a new, original story based on the characters from the hit television series. His third prose novel, Superman: The Never-Ending Battle, was also adapted as an audio book by Graphic Audio.

His recent comics work includes The Amazing Spider-Man, Captain  America: Forever Allies, and Captain America Corps.  His newest story "Once an Avenger ..." will be released May 16th in issue #3 of the Hulk Smash Avengers miniseries.

A graduate of Indiana University, Stern lives and works in upstate New York.

Mile High Comics is renowned as “America's largest and friendliest comics retailer,” with four locations serving Denver, Lakewood, and Littleton. Mile High's Jason Street Mega Store is the largest comics store in the world, with over 25,000 square feet of comics and collectibles. For more information, check the store website at http://www.milehighcomics.com/information/maps/.

Nice.

Wow, Raven Gregory and Roger Stern ... two polar opposites among comic book writing styles there could not be. :)

I've only been there one time, but I really had a hard time getting out of there without spending a TON of money. :)

I hear that. Mile High's display of Silver Age comics is especially sweet. I kept walling down the aisles going, "I used to have that one ... and that one ... and that one ... "

Hey, how come the panoramic shot of the Wall O' Comics went away?

Tinypic is odd like that. Happens often enough that I stopped using it and started using imgur.com instead.
