Your story can be set in any time period, and the tone can be anything you want.

Last month's challenge was a lot of fun, and the entries were all solid and entertaining.

I decided to mix it up a bit, challenge myself with a new style. It was fun to write.

I'm in. I'll be doing what Jay is doing and refraining from reading the entries until I write mine (and finish reading Dave's from last time. ).

Also, I'll be planning how best to smite Chris for usurping my authority. Suggestions may be sent via PM.

If there's a "Chris" character in your war story, I don't like his chances.
