Preface: Just for the record, I make no claims that this is good, also to clear up any confusion (I'm too lazy to put anything to clear this up in the actual text) there is only one speaker in this story:

Researcher's log, January 18, 1995:
It has been nearly 6 months since I arrived at the facility and while we have only been able to capture 8 Smeargle, (5 male, 3 female, ranging from near infancy to what would be comparable to middle aged) and though of those 8, 4 have perished I remain, optimistic about the state of this project, the possible benefits to Team Rocket and to the world at large is too great for us to give up at this point.
Though I have yet to meet our leader personally the communication I've had with him has done much to instill faith in his judgment considering this project and others under his management, the task at hand is great but his unbridled optimism that it can be done goes far to assure myself and everyone else on my team that what we are doing is crucial to the success of his plan, and crucial to the future of all life on Earth, human and Pokémon.
I feel strongly that we are doing Arceus' work, and that this alone assures our success.
Private journal, January 18, 1995:
It has been nearly 6 months since I was moved from my comfortable home to this baren local, 6 months of treachery and anguish, though little of it on my part, more on the part of the Smeargle, of the 8 we have captured 4 are dead and none have brought us any closer to our goal.
It's my personal belief that our goal is just two great, though our "valient leader" is so convinced of his own divinity that he we must push forward, following his will, and his "plan", fearing for life I've been cutting a great deal out of my reports and shall be writing many of my private thoughts here.
I've never been sure about Arceus, Mew, or Lugia, or any of the so called "Legendarys" who are believed to watch over us, but I highly doubt that this man is anything but a con man who preys upon people's beliefs for his own personal gain.
I mean, he can't really believe this can he? I think the idea that he does is a far more frightening of a prospect, though yet again if he doesn't, why would he funnel millions into a secret and illegal project to recreate scripture, to create a hybrid of human and Pokémon, something I just don't begin can even be done.
It's too fantastic.
And if it could, who could you trust with such power? The only thing that stopped humanity from dying at the hands of Pokémon is their loyalty (for lack of any better term) to humanity, what human can you really trust to hold these powers?
And where does all the money come from for this project? Could it be true that the Giovanni family is somehow tied up in all this?
So many unanswered questions, why in the name of Giratina did I ever sign up for this?
I'll probably never know.
Damn, someone's coming.
