“Ma’am reports are coming in from all over. People are being attacked by beings in robes.”

“Everywhere these beings have been spotted, they leave a trail of people in a coma.”

Tarin- “What about our attempts at contact?”

Advisor- “Madame President, most of our attempts at communication have… failed. The only message our delegates have gotten from the beings is “Subject Incompatible””

“Other delegates didn’t report back at all, we can only assume they were victims of these beings.”

Advisor- “Also, they are generating a force field that we’ve been unable to breach. We need to do something fast, the public is starting to turn on us, Madame President.”

Tarin- “So, Jon, what are our options, as you see them?”

Advisor- “Nothing short of an all out attack will even slow these things down, Madame President.”

Tarin- “Well, that isn’t on the table. These things are moving through major population centers all over North America. We need a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.”

Tarin- “Get me the Guardians on com-link.”

Charlie (at weapons console)- “Disruptors at max power, Nikki.. er Pilot. You steer clear of the team, and we can lend them a hand.”

Nikki- “Understood, Weapons Officer. Maneuvering around. You have the fire order when you have the shot.”

Yondu- “I wish I could see it the way you do Martinex. It is the key tenant of Anthos’ teachings that we must reject technology for the spiritual.”
