To widen out in your fellowship with others is something I want to start doing this year.
Visiting others, we used to when my father was invited to speak at other congregations.
Now I want to go visit these, it has been well over seven years.
I miss these ones I have met and have befriended

That's a great idea, Audra. One thing that's come of my mom's passing away last year is that my brothers and sister and I have become closer than ever, talking on the phone several times a week, and seeing each other regularly. When you get caught up in your own stuff, it becomes easy to take relationships for granted.

I am very bad that way - if I am not in constant contact with someone by living close or seeing them at some regular event, I tend to drift away. I haven't talked to my best friend from high school in a few years and we only live a few hours apart. I usually try to stay in touch, but when I feel I am the only one trying to make an effort, I stop. Now I only have one really good friend and that's because she lives in my building. I hate to say it but once one of us moves away I fear I will lose her as well.
