Description
RECORDINGS SOURCED FROM THE BBC ARCHIVES

RESTORED CONCERT PERFORMANCE ON REGION FREE NTSC DVD:

(Audio selection of Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound)

REMASTERED STEREO SOUNDTRACK CDs

20-PAGE BOOKLET WITH DETAILED LINER NOTES BY RESPECTED ROCK JOURNALIST AND AUTHOR CHRIS WELCH, INCLUDING NEW INTERVIEWS WITH ANNIE HASLAM, JON CAMP & TERENCE SULLIVAN.

Renaissance was at the peak of its popularity when this series of superb concerts was televised and broadcast on TV and radio by the BBC in the 1970s. Blending melodic rock with classical music, and featuring the outstanding voice of Annie Haslam, the band performed at its inspirational best at these shows, now available on this DVD+3CD package.

Classic songs from their finest albums, such as ‘Ashes Are Burning’ and ‘Turn Of the Cards’ are spotlighted over four discs, including the film of a rare BBC’s ‘Sight & Sound - In Concert’ live show from the Golders Green Hippodrome, London on 8th January, 1977.

The extensive DVD/CD liner note by Chris Welch includes new interviews with band members Annie Haslam, Jon Camp and Terence Sullivan, who all reminisce about their experiences and discuss the outstanding music they performed on these historic BBC shows.

Expertly restored and remastered. Superb vision, outstanding sound. The best in the business!

Oh man, I have some of this stuff scattered throughout BUT if this is a better quality both video and cd sound then I am in. One of my fave bands of this time. Saw them numerous times, including Radio City Hall.
