Now this was a show that I never got around to ever watching before it was cancelled. I'm suprised now to learn that there were enough episodes to fill up four DVD's.
That said--where are the last two seasons of "The Bob Newhart Show" and the last seven seasons of "Newhart"?

There's nothing happening with respect to "The Bob Newhart Show", but here's some good news on the "Newhart" front: http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Newhart-Season-2/19148Shout! Factory has picked up the ball that Fox dropped and is moving forward.

Factory is evidently releasing a complete (6 season) "Bob Newhart" in May: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRUQB5O/?tag=imwan-20and Season Two of "Newhart" will be out in February: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GHH9HW2/?tag=imwan-20And my guess is that they'll keep that one going, as Shout! Factory is a class operation (unlike some studios I will refrain from mentioning )

Yesh, she was a cutie.
The highpoint of the series was the cartoonist awards banquet episode that featured Jack Kirby, Sergio, and others.

Made my way thru this set.The show was no classic, but it has its moments, mainly due to the talents of Newhart and his (mostly) funny co-stars.However,for the second season it was decided to dump most of the cast, change Newhart's character from a comic book artist to the president of a greeting card company, and add Betty White to the cast.Didn't help;the "new, improved" Bob lasted just 8 episodes before it was cancelled. It's not up the level of Newhart's two previous series, but if you're a Newhart fan,it's worth a look.Stick to the first season though, unless you're a Betty White fan.
