On Sunday, 19th December 2011, Slade performed live at Koko in Camden, London in what turned out to be a very special concert. The band were all on top form as they entertained the crowd, playing a classic set featuring many of their best loved songs. The concert was introduced by DJ Mike Read. The DVD also includes an interview with Mike Read and Dave Hill in which Dave talks about Slade past and present, and this concert for The Lord's Taverners. The gig was staged and filmed on behalf of The Lord's Taverners and 30% of the proceeds of the sale of the DVD will go to the organisation, which is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, dedicated to improving the prospects of disadvantaged and disabled young people. Whether through adapted minibuses, sports wheelchairs, sensory rooms or the provision of sports programmes and equipment, we believe every young person deserves a sporting chance.
