Product Description
The art film The Solo (directed by acclaimed art-filmmaker Andrew Cross), a 35-minute movie that portrays the drum solo as a work of physical art, and features Palmer behind his drum kit. "The film is not a Carl Palmer drum solo, as one might expect," says Palmer. "It explores how the drum kit and the person playing it can connect to create a live example of art."

Carl Palmer onstage with ELP is the only drum solo that didn't bore me to tears.

What about Neil Peart?? His is one of the few drum solos worth watching live.

Dr Evil is correct in that Neil Peart one of the best drummers, a very technical, precise drummer which is required to play Rush's music.

But as Jimbo alluded, Carl Palmer, especially during ELP's prime was one of the best drummers I ever saw live.

Seeing them so many times during the 70's, especially during the "Brain Salad Surgery" tour made a memory that I will never forget. The spinning carousel drum kit that had engraved Chinese dragons imprinted etchings gongs would leap at you upon slammed.
WOW!

I really should have said "one of the few drum solos...." Pert is worth staying in your seat for, and when Mick Fleetwood was playing his body-drum-kit thing in concert, that was pretty extraordinary.
