Kino is definitely a legit company. Until recently they specialized in silent & classic film, & they were probably considered 3rd highest quality of the USA classic film companies, behind Criterion & Flicker Alley. Recently they've merged with Fox-Lorber, & they have been selling some titles that would have formerly been beneath them (but here I'm referring to artistic quality, not print quality).
So if this is a boot, I'll be surprised & very disappointed in Kino.

Nothing more than I can add from Geff assessment which is spot on. Having many titles from this company (some sold to me from Geff ) they are very top-notch label. Let's hope for the best!

I thought the master tapes were lost forever on this show? Have they found them? I have several versions of this and they all sound terrible.
Seems I was right. The sound has not improved. Its sad as this is the last document of Cream in the 1960s. The Blind Faith DVD is also seriously flawed sound wise. It was rescued from a bin. No one seemed to care about preserving these historic recordings back then.
When they did sometimes we are rewarded with some magnificent surprises. Look at the DVD of Led Zeppelin at The Albert Hall from 1970 or Deep Purple also at Albert Hall from 1969. Both sound amazing and look great !

Sounds like Kino has dreadfully lowered their standards. Wonder if the Lorber purchase (or was it a takeover) had something to do with it? They used to be 1 step below MOC & Criterion.

Great......I knew this would suck if I pre-ordered it.
Got an email yesterday that it shipped.
Well maybe the video portion has improved. Let us know Charles.

I haven't owned or seen other versions......will have nothing to compare it to.
I understand. Another let down it seems. Geff is right though, I have many titles on Kino and they were a great independent. When I saw they were involved I thought they might have found the master or something. Not to be it seems.

I'm sampling it right now. It definitely feels gray market. The picture is dull, but not bootleg jittery. The sound definitely isn't digitally fixed.....sounds like a lot of other 60s live recordings.
(I still live in the stone-age.....don't have a surround-sound stereo system or even a wide-screen digital TV, so this may look even better for me than it would for you).
I'm not going return mine, but you may want to think twice about buying it.

It's beyond my imagination that someone (Jimbo) actually lives in a city with a decent B&M store. I thought They had gone the way of the dinosaur. AFAIK, there is not 1 DECENT B&M cd store with deep catalog (new not used) & decent prices in Washington State. Silver Platters is probably the closest to that, but they're down to 2 (I think) stores & they're not cheap.

I liked what I saw of the Easy Street store in Queen Ann before it closed. I'll have to check out the West Seattle store one of these days. Still haven't stopped at Silver Platters or Golden Oldies.

I haven't been there is years, but historically Golden Oldies was an overpriced joke. It's all used unless they've changed, & they used to be PRICEY.
Silver Platters used to be decent, but they've also always been on the expensive side. Ironically when they first opened (I think they had 5 stores at their peak; I think they're down to 1 or 2); they made a big deal about being cd only when everyone else was selling records. It's been awhile since I've been to one, but last time I was at the Bellevue SP, they had a large vinyl section! Guess they should get kudos for trying to adapt!
