I somehow missed this the first time on DVD. I hope this is legit and I will get it-one of the best Rock films you'll ever see. I remember when this played theaters in 1986.

I would think (hope) it's legit since X is going to be showing it on screen before concerts on the upcoming tour.

I do have the first DVD, but would rebuy this.

This new version is great! It looks better than the 1st DVD.

Extras include a recent interview segment with John & Exene reflecting on the film and X's history, and a 1983 (or 4) interview with the filmmakers....both very interesting and informative....(though no details about the moving house segment), a live Whiskey clip of Some Other Time, and some Exene X artwork.

I've watched this 6 times in the last 3 months.....this DVD twice and recent 4 X shows where the film opened for them.

Hey Charles, did you get this via Imwan link? I want to get this (love this band) but it didn't clearly state about it being Blu-Ray? I want to order it in this format, any info that you can clarify?

Got this for Christmas-haven't watched it yet, but I've heard this is the best version by far. I have the DVD I don't know of a Blu-Ray release.

Guys, I've updated the link for the DVD in the first post. Image had briefly solicited a Blu-ray version in addition to the DVD, but it's been cancelled (at least for the time being).

Linda, are you saying the Blu-ray has been cancelled?

The first time I ordered this I received the Blu-ray version. I haven't decided what to do with it yet as I don't have a Blu-ray player.

Rick, you might just want to keep it shrinkwrapped as a future collectible. This release has been a mess.

Amazon originally had two listings up, one for a DVD and another for a Blu-ray. The Blu-ray listing then became the DVD listing (the link is here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005IGVTDS/?tag=imwan-20) and that's what I updated Pete's opening post to show.

But the original DVD listing became a dead Blu-ray listing which couldn't be pre-ordered (here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005IGVTJC/?tag=imwan-20) ... now it says "DVD" again, and it still can't be ordered from Amazon directly, but some third party sellers are listing the Blu-ray at that page.

With me so far?

Some sites such as CD Universe show a Blu-ray version as in print and in stock (http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?PID=8596540&frm=lk_imwan), while other sites seem to agree with Amazon that the Blu-ray was never officially released.

Thanks Linda. I think I will just hang onto it. Doubt I'll be retiring on the sale proceeds but it might turn into some kind of conversation piece.

My indie was able to get me a Blu-Ray of this over the weekend. Glad to get a copy due to the miscues in getting this to the fans.
