A little bit more:

Deep Purple will release “Perfect Strangers Live” on DVD this fall.

Due October 14 (October 15 in North America), the project captures the 1984 long-awaited reunion of the classic Deep Purple Mark II lineup of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice; it was the first time they had been together since 1973.

The lineup recorded a brand new studio album, "Perfect Strangers", and headed out on tour. The band's show in Melbourne, Australia was professionally filmed and is the only full-length concert recording of Deep Purple at this time.

The "Perfect Strangers Live" DVD mixes then-new tracks from the "Perfect Strangers" album with favourites from the early 70s.

This spring, Deep Purple released their new album, “NOW What?!”

I have the pro-shot show on DVD from 1985 in Paris, France and it's amazing although Blackmore's guitar is too low in the mix. I never knew such footage existed from the Australian leg which kicked off the whole tour.

This is still one of the top-grossing tours ever. I believe 97% of all tickets were sold. I am in for this for sure!

I'm on this one, too - this is the only time I saw Deep Purple, and it was an excellent show.

Yep, I saw this tour in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl. It was the Texxas Jam 1985 with DP headlining.

I always felt Blackmore was too low in the mix on Nobody's Perfect.

Now we're talking...excellent and looking forward to it. I'm hoping they release the audio on CD as well.
