Still no info on this, and I'm not going to spend $50+ and risk getting some bootleg lo-res VHS transfer. Any brave souls out there who bought this thing?

I believe this was only released in Canada[it's not a bootleg].

It is indeed a legitimate Canadian-only release, NTSC Region 1, and is currently in stock at Amazon Canada. Also make note of the customer review:

The picture is a slight improvement over the SD version, however the DTS Master Audio is a giant leap over the standard DTS version!

Order through Amazon-Canada. Even with the outrageous $10 shipping charge, you can get it for $30, which is $20 cheaper than Amazon's US sellers are asking.

I hope the music is mixed better on the Blu-Ray than it was on the DVD of HDN. The old VHS sounded better than the DVD.

$10 shipping? I've never had Amazon.ca gouge me that much on a DVD, and I've ordered a few from them (hockey videos, mostly).

Finally got the Canadian copy. The picture is only a slight upgrade from the DVD from what I can tell (didn't A-B 'em). The sound is largely mono (understandably), even the songs. There is a stereo spread of sorts on the music, but it seems artificial. The music isn't as poorly mixed as I recall the DVD being, though.
