Musictap reports that Shout!Factory is in the Otis Redding DVD business stakes with Respect: Otis Live. It's due out on February 24th. I'd like to see information on what the material is from and if it is newly found footage that hasn't made the rounds on the other great DVDs that have been coming out over the past year.

This collection includes some of Otis Redding’s most electrifying performances from the European leg of the legendary 1967 Stax/Volt Tour, where Otis is joined onstage by Booker T. & The MG’s with The Mar-Keys, plus special guests Sam & Dave. Also included is Redding’s captivating performance (again with Booker T. & The MG’s and The Mar-Keys) at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, where he transcended genre and drew in a whole new audience.

Respect: Otis Live includes all his Black and Pop Chart toppers, including “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)” (#2/#21), “Respect” (#4/#35), “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” (#4/#31) and “Try A Little Tenderness” (#4/#25). Directed by acclaimed documentary filmmaker D.A. Pennebaker, this concert film shows Otis Redding in his prime, just months before his tragic death.
