Any idea if this is a single show, or a comp of the tour?
There are quite a few recent Zappa releases that I am interested in, but I do find their pricing pretty steep for archival releases.
Curious as to the thoughts on "FZ in OZ"?

FZ in OZ is a complete 76 show - or a couple of shows from the same run of venues...plus one studio track.
Zappa Plays Zappa - DVD - is a comp from last year's tour.
As far as I am concerned - you can never go wrong with or you can never have enough Zappa music.

I have all the recent FZ archival releases - all are highly recommended. I'm passing on ZPZ - seems like Zappalite to me. I wish they'd just put out vintage FZ concerts on dvd.

I have a fairly substantial number of FZ titles in my collection, I'd say most of his official releases, not counting the releases since he passed (although I do have a few).
Of recent vintage I do have the Halloween DVD-A and Imaginary Diseases (both of which are excellent). I am interested in the FZ in OZ release and the MOFO release (although I think the 2 disc will fit the bill), as well...
The other recent collections, I forget their names - Joe's Montage or something - strike me as works in process, incomplete takes, and bits of studio chatter. If I'm incorrect, please let me know! If I'm right, I'd be interested in at a better price.
I've dragged my feet on FZ in Oz and MOFO because of the cost - not earth shattering, but with all the music out there, they seem to be more expensive then they need to be...

IMO - they are all worth the money but the best of the lot is Zappa Wazoo. If you like IM - you will like this too. Full show from Boston 1972.
FZ-OZ and Zappa Buffalo are both very good. Full concerts - or similar concerts pieced together to form one full show of that current touring band.
The Joe series - Joe's Crosage are polished demos that young Frank used to try to get a record deal. The best (so far) of the Joe Series.
Joe's Domage is of boot quality - a copy of a cassette that Frank taped the Wazoo rehearsals of to listen to later - I like it but very few over at Zappa.com do. Interesting to hear him running the rehearsal, teaching the parts and the tunes evolving.
Joe's Xmassage is (IMO) the weakest of the lot. Early studio stuff, excerpts from a college radio show he hosted - some recordings when he was in a power trio and an early version of Why Don't You Do Me Right.
Also of interest is the Dub Room Special soundtrack - This is just the music (most of the 74 portion and 2 tunes from the 81 portion) of the video - none of the claymation overdubs. Great sounding - clear, sharp, clean, hot.
Also out is the Zappa influcenced Jeff Simmon's release - Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up (FZ on guitar on two tracks) - release also includes Wino Man. This is a GREAT version of Lucille - one of my favorite FZ solo's ever. (Import only - gotta seach for it on the web - now available from Zappa.com).

I bought Oz when it came out, and Buffalo at a ZPZ show, but I'm hesitant to drop the bucks on Wazoo and the 4-disc MOFO, not because of quality, but the prices seem to be too high. I prefer buying stuff directly from the artists when possible, but $70 for MOFO? $30 for Wazoo? Especially when the ZFT charges pretty steep shipping fees. I haven't bought the new John 5 disc for the same reason - pretty ridiculous to me to charge $6 to ship a single CD when Amazon will ship me a box of stuff for free.

Robert, thanks so much for taking the time to break them all down.
One of my greatest misgivings is only seeing FZ once in concert, in 84 (maybe 85), with Jerry Gracia opening in Chicago. What a great show!

My only misgiving is only seeing him 10 times (71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 82 and three times in 88).
For anyone who is interested - this DVD is great! The band is great - the music is spot on - right there...great SQ...NM Brock reprises many of the tunes he did lead vocals on, Terry Bozzio and Steve Vai are great in their extended guest spots...
Dweasel can really play guitar. The female sax/keyboard player steals the show by playing both instruments at the same time. The rest of the band is great too.
When they come to your neighborhood go out to see them.
If you like good music - or complex music played to perfection - this is a must for you!

I'm also jealous that Dweezil dated Lisa Loeb for a couple years!
