I've always been interested in hearing Lamm's solo stuff, but have never had the chance. Is it similar to Chicago's material or different? I always wondered why after Cetera left the band, didn't Lamm take a more prominant lead vocal role with the group? He sorta faded into the background and let Scheff, and Champlin take over.

I'm with you, Jeff. I was a huge fan of Chicago's work in the 70's, and back then I really considered Lamm to be their best songwriter. IMHO, the band that now calls themselves Chicago is a pale imitation of what they once were. If anyone on this board does get this DVD I would love to hear what they think of it.

Glenn...for the most part, I agree with you entirely, however I recently listened to "Stone Of Sisyphus" again a few times and while I occasionally feel like people have over-hyped it, it really is a good album. If they'd only stayed on that path.

I heard parts of that CD, and what I heard sounded good to my ears. I never did get around to buying it though. It was quite different to thier MOR material from what I remember.

Wasn't this unreleased? I remember hearing about it in 1993 and I downloaded the whole thing in the glory days of Napster. I didn't see how itwas experimental in the least, but it was better than the recent garbage.
This is one of my all-time favorite bands and they have been spent creatively since the late 80s. Chicago XXX proved there's just nothing there unfortunately. Or, it's they're afraid to try.
