Description Sit back and let the evening go with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the 1978 musical spectacular featuring stunning reinterpretations of over twenty classic Beatles songs! The one and only Billy Shears (multi-platinum recording artist Peter Frampton) and his best friends the Hendersons (Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Bee Gees) are four young men from the quaint little town of Heartland. With superstardom calling, this fabulous foursome leaves Heartland – and Billy's beloved Strawberry Fields (Sandy Farina) – vulnerable to mean Mr. Mustard, who steals Sgt. Pepper's magical instruments for a fiendish, "evil force that would poison young minds, pollute the environment, and subvert the democratic process." It's up to our heroes to save everything they hold dear with the power of music, kindness, and heart. Featuring performances by Aerosmith, George Burns, Steve Martin, Earth, Wind & Fire, and more, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is a magical, musical tour through some of the greatest songs ever written, and an astounding time capsule of the late 70s unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071JPTJYZ/?tag=imwan-20

In spite of some many reasons why not to, you just know that I'll have to buy this!

I decided to watch this on YouTube to see if it's as bad as I remember back in 1978. Oh........it's even worse.
I lasted 30-40 min into it
My thoughts go out to Peter Frampton and his family. What was he thinking when he signed up to this?
VIDEO Isn't that the same year the Kiss movie came out? I remember seeing that as well and.....

Yep don't need to ever revisit this one. Right up there with the worst of all-time.

Despite what the box says, a splendid time is not guaranteed for all.

It did come out in '78. What a glorious year for rock stars in train wreck movies!

I never saw the movie, but I have the soundtrack on 8-track. The two things I liked most about the movie were Steve Martin's "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" (did see a video of that) and Sandy's "Strawberry Fields Forever".

Frampton was told Paul McCartney would play the weathervane guy, the role that went to Billy Preston.
He originally wasn't keen on doing it, as he didn't want to mess with The Beatles, but agreed to do it after being led on.
I'll never forget watching
Behind The Music when Barry Gibb said The Bee Gees asked to be released from their contract on the first day of filming.
