And is it just me, or does it seem odd to list the movie itself in the bonus features?

Criterion has been doing the same thing. One of the features is the upgraded video compared to previous releases. That section used to be called "Soecial Features", which WAN supposes is more accurate, but nowadays the studios list everything under "Bonus Features".
