Moved to Collector's Corner since this is a Monkees website exclusive.
This looks great, and I want it, but will wait for what I assume will be a Christmas 2016 general release ... I'm willing to forego the limited numbering in favour of a discounted price.
Chris, Jay and Rick just disinvited me from their Christmas 2015 parties for saying that.

I would want to know if they did a true HD transfer and upgraded the video quality from Rhino's previous DVD sets.
And I don't care if they keep the bad faux surround from those discs. I actually prefer the original mono soundtracks, as they sound more natural and what I heard back in the '70s on my old mono TVs.
If the video quality is an upgrade, I'm in.

Chris, Jay and Rick just disinvited me from their Christmas 2015 parties for saying that. I wouldn't do this to you Linda. Heck, I'll await as well as I have the original Rhino sets. One thing though. I was dismayed about an E-Mailed l received about my inquiry last week. I wrote to Rhino about where do we stand with the deluxe of "More Of The Monkees". Their reply is basically its not even on their radar. Need to contact Andrew S. about this. Rick A.

I think the Rhino DVDs are more authentic in that they're closer in terms of quality to the syndicated reruns I watched on a tube TV set in the '70s.

This episode of Zilch! has an interview with Andrew Sandoval and John Hughes from Rhino, who discuss putting together the new blu-ray box set. After listening to this, I went from being on the fence to deciding to get the deluxe complete box. Check it out! http://zilchmonkeescast.blogspot.com/20 ... ndrew.html

An important message about THE MONKEES: THE COMPLETE SERIES on Blu-rayDear Monkees fan: It's another good news/bad news situation about THE MONKEES: THE COMPLETE SERIES on Blu-ray. The good news is we've found even MORE incredible content for our bonus disc, including the very first live performance from The Monkees as they took the Last Train To Clarksville for a KHJ radio promotional event before the show premiered! And how about a fully restored version of the original unaired pilot from the original 35mm negative? Unfortunately, the bad news is we've had to move the release date again, to June 27. We realize this is not ideal, but we want this to be the truly definitive collection of The Monkees' television and movie appearances in the 1960's. We want to get this right. We truly appreciate your patience and believe us when we tell you, it will most definitely be worth the wait! Regarding the status of your current pre-order: Your order has not been cancelled Your bank card will be charged when your order ships If you paid via PayPal, or authorized customer service to charge your bank card before your order ships, you will receive no further charges. If you have any questions, please contact Rhino customer service: drrhino@rhino.com(800) 546-3670 Thank you again for your patience! ©2016 The Monkees 3400 W. I used to watch those. They were funny, IIRC, but I was just a kid. I wonder if they hold up at all I sure haven't seen them aired in repeats anywhere in the last three or four of decades - maybe there's a problem with copyrighted music all that time?
