Since Andrew Sandoval led this reissue I'm in for this one.

Two-LP set featuring the first complete collection of the Zombies on the BBC. Researched and compiled by Zombies expert Andrew Sandoval. Includes previously unissued interviews and songs.

Interesting. Rockaway Records in Los Angeles just sent an email saying they will not be participating this year

Quote:
We've given this a LOT of thought. Among other things, we feel that the ever-increasing amount of releases, the nature of many of the releases, and the high costs (both wholesale and retail) of the releases has gotten somewhat out of hand and is becoming contrary to the original spirit of the day.

Yes, still (barely) being in the business, I can say from current experience that the wholesale pricing on vinyl is RIDICULOUS.

There was quite a line at Landlocked Records today, glad I got there early. This year's releases were the best I'd seem, for me anyway, and Landlocked did a great job at having a good stock on many items.

Here's my haul:

The Zombies The BBC Radio Sessions
The Arcs Vs the Inventors Vol 1
Rhiannon Giddens Factory Girl
Chip Taylor & John Prine Sixteen Angels Dancing 'Cross the Moon
Wes Montgomery One Night In Indy
William Onveabor Atomic Bomb
The B-52's Live 8.24.1979

I debated about getting the Spoon release, maybe tomorrow if it's still there. I didn't see the Charlie Parker/Dizzy Gillespie/Bud Powell/Max Roach box set which I would have got but maybe I'll catch it later, too.

I can't get to my indie until tomorrow. Hopefully they will have a copy of The Zombies BBC awaiting for me.

I've been to my local B&M a couple times, and totally zoned out on the BFRSD stuff - until Friday night, when I stopped to look for a Johnny Cash CD. Walking out, I saw a box on the counter.

So I picked up the Neil Hefti "Batman Theme" single.
