Just discovered Meredith Sheldon. Actually, I discovered her 5 years ago when she was in the band Family of the Year, but didn’t know she went solo several years ago. Before that, she was in the Ben Taylor band (son of James & Carly). Writes and plays her own songs. Jangly & fuzz guitars, layered vocals, hooks galore. Her rockin’ stuff reminds me of Juliana Hatfield, her lighter stuff of KT Tunstall’s first album, and a lot of the alternative music / indie rock that MTV’s 120 Minutes used to play back in the mid 90s. Great stuff IMHO. Currently without a label, but she has opened for The Lemonheads and Johnny Marr on their recent tours. A super talent in my (green) eyes !!
