Right on the heels of Token - Looks like the corsaga is set to continue shortly with Joe’s Camouflage. Two tracks from this have been played on Zappa Radio, Any Downers? and Phyniox [Take 1], which suggest that this is the previously unheard post-Bongo Fury line-up of: FZ, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Roy Estrada, Terry Bozzio, Denny Walley, Robert “Frog” Camarena and Novi Novog.

Token has shipped - Roxy/Proxy looks like it has slipped (yet again)

You know what - I'm sitting this one out for a while. I'd probably have ordered it if they'd said it was coming. But at $7 shipping for a single frigging disc, I'm not too thrilled about seeing a new release a week after the last release.

I'm boycotting buying anything from ZFT until I get my Roxy By Proxy order including my held-hostage Road Trips 2.

I don't blame you. They should at least send you Road Trips 2. It almost criminal how ZFT operates.

I'm in the same boat with you. I will never order anything again from them, unless it is in stock. They got my money, I got no discs.

gotta go one title at a time...someday I will get Roxy by Proxy - got many more titles to check out in the meanwhile.

I did get it fixed. I was able to cancel Proxy and replace it with Token. I finally got the Road Tapes 2/Token order yesterday.

Because of insane shipping prices, I always order 2 releases at a time......so. I'll now saw that I'm never going to pre order anything again from ZFT. I'll order this one whenever Roxy by Proxy finally exists.

I did just buy/download the little new Cheepnis film from ITunes. 10 minutes of fun for $2.

I might have felt different, but the folks that do the shipping for ZFT use those envelopes that are like a cardboard version of shrink-wrap. If it's a cardboard package, it's easy to bend or ding it because of how hard it is to pull apart, and it provides no protection. So, no, I think I'm joining the "wait for multiple items" crowd.

Once people get shipping notices for Roxy by Proxy AND people start getting shipping notices for this, I'll order both together.

everyone sings except for Terry

Some cuts sound great - some like a rehearsal like the Domage cd.

T'Mershi Duween- basic tune as we know - viola up front - slower except last verse - great tune.
Reeny Ra - vocals but nonsense "place holder vocals" medley is great - could have developed into a Zoot Allure's lp type tune - nice guitar solo about 1:30 into it while the band sort of plays a shuffle.
Honey - same basic tune we know - this is the one that most sounds like a rehearsal - vocals buried in mix.
Illinois - early run thru of great tune we all know.
Sleep Dirt - another birthing or near birth gem.
Black Napkins - early rendition of monster we all love - pretty much as it always is.
Take Your Clothes Off - Same as the 10th anniversary rendition - stops kind of abruptly.
Denny & Froggy relate - they talk while FZ is playing the guitar part of I'm the Slime in the background.
"Choose Your Foot" - actually it is a tune we know - breaks down after a few seconds - Choose Your Foot are the lyrics on this - they were replaced for the one that was released.
Phyniox Take 2 - also great as take 1 is.

IMO - this release is excellent! A must buy - a great edition to the catalog. Would have loved this edition to have toured.

The results feature HOLLAND in her Norah Jones/Maria Muldaur/Cyndi Lauper mode, a seductive crooner capable of the buoyant samba beat of "100 Proof" and the horn-driven New Orleans by way of Mary Wells stomp of "Stuck!"

Meanwhile, Murdergram, her tribute to Glenn Danzig's horror-core punkabilly band The Misfits, was inspired by the exploitation flicks ofQuentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez and the fuzz-toned guitar sounds of Link Wray. You can hear those cinematic influences in the wide-screen "American Nightmare," with a bowed bass solo that sounds like "a crying Orca, a wail of pain and anguish," withHOLLAND's declamatory style recalling yet another rock poet in Patti Smith. There's a bossa nova beat in "Die Die My Darling" courtesy ofprincessFrank, while "Vampira" is straight-ahead monsterbilly in the classic crash-and-burn style of The Cramps.
