Courage

A 'lost' track from Peter Gabriel's iconic So album. It was very much part of the album recording sessions but was never finished. It only saw the light of day for the first time as part of the So 25th Anniversary box. The track has now been newly mixed by Tchad Blake with new overdubs by Peter and long-term guitarist David Rhodes. Finally, some 25+ years later, its finished. Bundle release also comes with a remix of the track by renowned remixer and producer Steve Osborne.

"When So drew to a close I didn't feel the song was delivering in the way I had hoped, so decided not to include it. When we were reviewing all the material from that time, we wanted to take a fresh look at it and get it finished. When is he going to release a "rarities" disc?!?! I've got vinyl, and also boot CD's that have more than enough stuff to fill a CD...

If this was a CD single I'd go for it.

My problem is, it's listed as a "radio edit"...makes me wonder if he's not going to release a "full version" down the road a piece. So, I'll save the cash.

Not sure... this is actually the third version, along with the vinyl-only from the box set (minus the newer overdubs) and the previously free Hexidecimal Mix.

FWIW, promo CDs do exist for this version of "Courage" if one knows where to look.
