Are you serious about SACD's scheduled or just joking?

Google Robert Fripp / Steven Wilson / ELP 5.1 and you'll learn more about Wilson's treatment of
the ELP catalog similar to his King Crimson assignment that resulted in KC's 5.1 remasters,
which are similar to the Pink Floyd 5.1 editions. SACD-wise, who knows if ELP will release their
catalog like Genesis and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here where it was SACD in Europe and
select other areas and DVD-A / Dolby stateside...

HQCD is Toshiba/EMI's new competition for JVC/Universal's SHM-CD, so expect another few thousand reissues by the end of this year.

Some people swear that the super high material makes an audible difference, and that's the upgrade. There are also SHM-SACDs, also with no new mastering, but new transfers in hi-rez. I'd sure love to see some "HQSACDs" from the EMI catalogue ....

Ironically I just got to hear the SHM Fragile Sacd today.

Short version: better than the cd, but they used more compression that i would have liked; especially on Roundabout.

It sounds best where the music isn't too dense. (i.e. either quieter passages &/or not all instruments playing full volume at once).
