I'm getting close to completing my run of Jan and Dean, and was really surprised to find out that the OOP reissue of the 1973 comp "Gotta Take That One Last Ride" from 1996 on One Way is all in glorious mono! This is how Jan and Dean were meant to be heard!

Lots of fun tracks there. I think "Ride The Wild Surf" matches up well against "Catch a Wave" for their majesty.

I still have my Dad's mono LP of Drag City, so I'll get Popsicle or Schlock Rod stuck in my head often.

Okay, I've now listened to the OOP "Jan & Dean Meet Batman", but, as much as I love the music of Jan and Dean, I can't see myself playing this excruciating novelty album ever again! Unfortunately, I can't get rid of it, as it's paired with the wonderful "Command Performance - Live in Person" album as a One Way twofer.
