Spending a rare Saturday night at home, I decided to watch the DVD of the cult sci-fi favorite Dark Star, directed by John Carpenter and co-written by Dan O'Bannon. (It's astonishing to see how many ideas O'Bannon later recycled into his screenplay for Alien.)
Anyway, the music was written by John Carpenter. I see that the soundtrack was reissued on CD by Varese Sarabande, but it's long OOP--a copy on eBay recently went for $50+. Does anybody have the CD? I'm wondering if it includes "Benson Arizona," a catchy little country tune (written by Carpenter) played at the open and close of the movie. I wanna be sure it's on there before bidding on any future eBay auctions. The only tracks listed on the CD are "Part1" and "Part 2." Thanks in advance.

OK, now I want this CD. Dunno how I missed it the first time around, one of my favorite cult movies. "Thank you for observing all safety precautions..."

Jimbo...I found it in the wonderful world of blogs. The two sides were ripped in the 250-260 kbps range and the front cover image is fair. Let me know if you want it.
