It's Vocalion's own storefront at Amazon and they set the price themselves.

Probably, but then you have to question why they won't make these discs available directly through normal distro channels so Amazon can stock it directly and charge less. I'll buy from their Amazon storefront if that's how they want to do it, but I think that undercutting your own release at retail is very bad practice.

Probably the storefront is a way to provide access and advertisement to their product if one does not search their own site.

The price differential is way to great to use their Amazon storefront for me. I have ordered from them multiple times in the past and they were very serviceable.

When a label (or artist) does that, it's contemptuous of their customers, and I don't feel good about supporting that. But savings are savings. I understand.

They're covering the Amazon fees that are charged to sellers. And if you have sales tax, that would be added on if you buy from the USA.

I believe the only states without sales tax are Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Delaware and New Hampshire.

Rick, with the current 1.23 low conversion rate & shipping I get $19.80 USD for 1 disc ordered direct. Moderate shipping discount for multiple disc orders. I'm not sure how you came up with $14.91? I'd buy several titles at $14.91 delivered! $19.80 is still cheaper than Amazon but not by as dramatic an amount (With shipping, Amazon USA is $26 + sales tax, Amazon UK is $24.68 USD delivered)

Edit: I see how you got the $14.91, that's with the VAT removed & before shipping.

Please stick to discussing the releases, the sound quality and so on. As I always say (and wish I didn't have to keep saying), I realise people buy from all over the Internet, not just Amazon, and that's fine -- but within our threads at IMWAN, we have to support what supports us. So anybody who must talk about what a supershopper you are, with links and prices and this and that, just do it at a boasting site for audiophiles. (Aren't all audiophile sites basically just for boasting?)

Otherwise I'll have to close this thread altogether, which I don't want to do.
