for uninitiated, Jill's albums are generally filled with great hooks and bluntly original lyricism - true pop ear candy.

Thanks for the post about this. I'll have to check this out. I really enjoyed her album with John Doe a few years ago.

here's my brief - VERY brief critique:

if you're a fan, you'll need to get this, of course.
if you're new to Jill, this is NOT the best place to start - I'd suggest "Pink Pearl" or "Underdog Victorious" - or even the best-of compilation.
I did find a few gems on this such as "I put my headphones on" and "forbidden thoughts of youth" - overall, I'd rate it a C+.

(note: I'm a Jill Sobule completist, but I'm a fan who tries to be as objective and honest as I can.
please add your own thoughts - I'd be interested to hear what others think.)
