SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable on regular CD players. Such titles are indicated as "Product Type SACD Hybrid" in Product Details. And in this case, it only plays regular CD audio quality. If you want SACD audio quality, you need SACD players.

OH Yeah! I have mine on Pre-Order. One of coolest and spookiest records of all-time. Great late night listening with a German lager and a small glass of bourbon.

I imagine this album could be amazingly immersive in quad/ surround sound. But I don't do surround. However, if any album could get me to do surround, it would be this one.
Is this a vintage quad mix, or a new remix? Also, where is the best place to source this release? Amazon?

My Miles Davis: Bitches Brew Quadraphonic SA-CD Multi Hybrid Edition has arrived. Actually came in on Tuesday, I can't believe how fast CD Japan delivered it to me. Great packaging for a fantastic package as you have seen in the unboxing video. I can't wait for tomorrow night, I will try to time my zenith with this playback.

Man, I looked all over in Tampa and couldn't come up with it. Last order according to Total Wine & Beer was in March.

So when I saw this quote from their CEO on their home page:

'Dogfish Head founder & CEO Sam Calagione says Wood-Aged Bitches Brew is best when “sipped cool, not cold, from a snifter or red wine glass while listening to the Bitches Brew album.” We like the sound of that.

So I E-Mailed him, told him about the Quad SACD release (also the link of the unbox to wt his appetite) and requested he reinstate it's availability.
Carol caught me doing this and said I was crazy. I responded by saying I simply just agreeing with the CEO Sam Calagione. She just laughed and walked away (as usual).
