The (original) Knack - Time Waits For No One At last a release that contains Frank's guest appearance on the tune Softly, Softly. Liner notes state that it was being recorded at Capitol at the same time FZ was doing Lumpy Gravy. Their keyboardist couldn't or wouldn't or wasn't there to play on the tune. FZ was there and available so he sat in and played the piano. It also states they Ray Collins and Jimmy Carl Black are also listed on the session paperwork. It is the only tune with tambourine (JCB???) and background vocals - ahhhs (RC???).
They claim the tunes are Beatlesgue - maybe more like the Cyrkle or some band that appears in any mid-60's movie.
I listened to the whole cd once and the FZ guest tune twice. The sound is clear - the guitar player is ok. There is one tune that includes the first few takes of another song (no FZ content).
Those 2 tunes are the most interesting. The title tune is OK. This is a light weight band - my only interest is the FZ involvement. All 3 former Mothers are gone so we probably will not ever get anymore information on this.
Again - The Knack - Time Waits for No One - track 4 Softly Softly 2:24 - FZ, JCB and RC. Only for completists.
