I believe this is a Pledgemusic deal.

I'm going to stick with the Deluxe editions.

How dare they do this again?

I'd love the live stuff, but a triple-vinyl and the only way to get this stuff is to pony up $152???

On top of that, the only way to get the Black Moon rough mixes is to pre-order???

F that.

I'd like the unreleased stuff too, but having already buying most of these on CD & DVD-A I'll probably pass on these.
Good box for ELP mega fans.

I only have the first 2 albums in my collection and have to admit that I find ELP to be by far the most over-rated of the 70's prog acts. But I'm a big enough fan of the genre where I'd be interested in a cheap box set of the 11 original albums if they would release those on their own (like $60).

$152 seems like a really low price for what the buyer gets though:
-19 compact discs
-3 12" vinyl
-2 7" vinyl
-1 Blu-ray (audio)
-bunch of other stuff (poster, pin, etc)
Figure $5 per CD, $10 per 12" vinyl, $5 per 7" vinyl and $15 for the Blu-ray and the total would be $150...and the consumer doesn't generally find prices much below that (especially for the vinyl). Hell, figuring $7 for each CD and $15 for the Blu-ray would bring it to $148 so it's almost like getting the vinyl and other stuff thrown in for free.

Of course, if the real ELP fans don't want to buy the studio albums again for the tenth time and only are interested in getting the live compact discs...it looks like those people are screwed.

I really really really really really really really really really really wish they had announced this before I bought the 3 most recent reissues, at least.

I own all of the Deluxe editions and there will be 2 more next week.

NOW, they announce this???

It's a joke to all ELP fans.

Casual fans will get a good deal, though it is unclear if you are getting the Deluxe editions or just the studio albums, and it seems like that might be all you get here.

And, I've never understood the hate for ELP.

I really like Classical music, and what they did combining Classical, Rock, Jazz and even Pop and Folk was ingenious.

I don't see how they're overrated when they were bashed their entire career for being three of the best musicians in the world.

And Greg Lake had one of the best voices in Rock.

All I'd want here would be the 1972 live cd & a digital version of the 1973 LP set. I already have a lot of ELP.

BMG will put out all of the new live discs after they're done remastering the existing catalogue.

There's a general release from BMG?

I got an email about it from Pop Mart, so I assume it's general.

The Steve Wilson 5.1 mixes alone are becoming very difficult to find. I have seen prices well above $50.00 for them.

Recent post from Pledge music,

"BMG advise us that the blu-ray audio of Brain Salad Surgery is the Jakko M Jakszyk, 2014 Stereo and 5.1 mixes.
Also there are no plans to release the rare live material separately."

That would seem to say that BMG is very involved.

I think I'd be willing to bet real money that the live contents get individual general releases at some point.

This "BMG at Pledge" thing is exactly what you've been talking about, Geff. Seems quite wrong.
