I'm hoping the $10 download is lossless, I don't want mp3.

According to the product listings, the PledgeMusic version will include an unspecified bonus track not found on the general release.

I THINK the bonus track is the Prince Tribute, Girl Meets Boy.

I saw her on tour in 2001 with Ringo, Greg Lake, Ian Hunter, Roger Hodgson and Howard Jones. Now that is an All-Star line-up. This show was so cool.

I've seen her a couple times with Prince & on several video concerts; both solo & with Prince. Very talented lady.

Their is going to be a flac option, I purchased for $10. Pre-release bonus track is not yet available.

I noticed the major record companies are now using Pledge.

The Super Deluxe Purple Rain is undercutting Amazon, as is Bowie Cracked Actor cd (sold out).

I would like to see Pledge & Kickstart ban the major corporations (i.e. the big 3 record labels). This is just wrong (& it has nothing to do with any feelings I may have about Amazon).

Indie artists are going to get drowned out if the labels are allowed to flood the sites with slightly discounted releases.

Plus they're using a trick on Purple Rain: Shipping "TO BE DETERMINED".

They're so grimy, they should really be using Pine-Sol.

I did some more looking, I'm afraid my bitching is too late. There are a ton of major label offering up there (Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, Shawn Colvin, Europe, The Cars, Style Council, ZZ Top, Bob Marley, etc.

And these are all new or recent major label releases.

Download is out today. I hope to play it this evening.

The sound quality is superb for a cd. The music is not up to the standards of her 4 Warner/Paisley classics.

This a very political release; more than I expected.

(I've changed the release date in this thread's title to September 1st so that it comes up in searches for this week's releases. The Pledge stuff came out earlier, on August 10th.)
