"For I am the man this poem is about. The next champ of the world, there isn’t a doubt. This I predict, and I know the score, I’ll be champ of the world in ‘64” – I Am The Greatest by Cassius Marcellus Clay. I Am The Greatest! is the spoken word album by boxer Cassius Clay, released in August 1963 – six months before he won the world heavyweight championship, announced his conversion to Islam, and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. Featuring 9 brilliantly funny spoken word pieces delivered in a way only Cassius Clay could. This features 3 bonus tracks including the single version of I Am The Greatest alongside Cassius’ rendition of Ben E. King’s Stand By Me and original single The Gang’s All Here.

It is not bad. It is really a comedy release - we are laughing with CC - not at him.

I was kind of shocked - it's the early 60's and the Prime Minister of England offers Clay his daughter's hand - of course all he wants is the crown on his head - the HEAVY crown. Still kinda out front for the early 60's. I had forgotten how fast he spoke, how sharp of a wit he had. He was indeed the Greatest!
