Stanhope is not to everyone's tastes - very dark, very....unfiltered. Personally, I love the guy - he goes to places others won't. A few years ago when I saw him here, he came out in an Arizona Cardinals jersey and his first words were "Fuck the Steelers". He has an older routine called "Bobbi Barnett" that never fails to make me laugh (and the title subject contacted him a year or two ago - the story is on his web site somewhere).
