Herbie Hancock is a jazz pianist who has played with Miles Davis and made a big splash on the Billboard charts in the 1970s with his numerous jazz-funk albums on Columbia Records. Shortly before his long stint with Columbia, he recorded three albums for Warner Brothers Records. Treasure Chest was released as a two record set in 1974. It encompasses most of his Warner recordings from the albums Crossings, Mwandishi and Fat Albert Rotunda.
