Just thought i would briefly mention this, search seems to show it got skipped. Listened to it earlier today, & it solidified my opinion that sonically, AP is doing the best mastering on physical disc of any US company today.

Unfortunately, they do very little rock, & even with jazz they don't always choose the best titles, but the really do superb mastering. Both of the Ellington/Hodges Verves (back To back & Side By Side) are on their to be released page. I'm very curious to hear how they come out. I bought the HDtracks of Side & have heard a 96/24 needle drop of the Classic Records of Back & both were somewhat disappointing.

Back to the Nelson; while I'm not usually a bop fan, i really felt like I had a real trumpet in my living room. Good stuff with an all-star band (Bill Evans, Freddie Hubbard, Paul Chambers, Eric Dolphy, Roy Haynes).
