Here 'tis:
While many Lightnin' Hopkins compilations are a hodgepodge of tracks from the myriad of labels for which the mercurial bluesman recorded, BLUES FROM DOWLING STREET zeroes in on a couple of his mid-to-late-1960s sessions for the Jewel label. DOWLING STREET draws tracks from both Hopkins' acoustic outing BLUE LIGHTNIN' and the full-band affair THE GREAT ELECTRIC SHOW AND DANCE, on which he's backed by some of the legendary Muscle Shoals soul session men. Though these aren't canonical sessions, they do provide interesting contrasts to each other and display different sides of Lightnin's musical personality. Disc: 1 1. Lovin' Arms
