Hollywood actor and part-time indie jazz pianist Jeff Goldblum and his longtime Los Angeles-based group, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, will be releasing his debut studio album this fall when The Capitol Studios Sessions arrives on Nov. 9 via Decca Records.

The 14-track album was produced by industry veteran Larry Klein, whose collaborations have ranged from singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell to jazz fusion artist Herbie Hancock.

Goldblum and his band turned Capitol’s Studio A and B recording rooms into an intimate dinner club with a live audience to re-create their live sound to track the album.

“I love improvising and that feeling of communication and interplay,” Goldblum said in a statement about the recording process for his debut album. “It’s one of the cornerstones of my acting technique. I see my music in the same way.”
