As something of a Bowie novice, last year I started with the "Five Years" box and have gradually worked me way through all four boxes. My biggest complaint is the books in each box--I'm at a point in life where it has become painful to attempt to read print that small.

You & me both. There are a number of bound books & cd booklets I can no longer read even with reading glasses. I do wish they'd provide Kindle or pc friendly pdf's with downloads. Thanks, Napster. They seem to have set the standard by only giving out front covers in the OOOOld days.

There was a recent 5 live album 90's box. Each album was sold separately (as was the empty box!), in limited editions. People who bought them seem to be very unhappy with the marketing & poor fill. Music & sq seems acceptable.

Yes I have them, the "Brilliant Live Adventures". Pity only one was a 2 disc affair, and the whole marketing was a mess (particularly when it came to the last one!)
Apparently there is a new box coming, skipping Tin Machine, and going through the 90's. Called "Brilliant Adventures". (that should not cause confusion, huh?).
This deal may not lead to another re-issue campaign, as Warner has had the entire catalogue - except the last decade of recordings. This deal completes the holding (I understand some of the early Decca era stuff is not included, but now Warner manages all "Bowie Proper").

Would like to see a 'Conversation Piece'-type release for Hunky Dory, Ziiggy, Alladin, DDs that is for sure!

I hope they come up with some worthwhile rarities for BA. I'm pretty sure there is a Hunky Dory box scheduled for this year also.

David Bowie Estate Tees Up $200 Million Catalog Sale Following Warner Music Partnership: Report
In mid-September, Warner Music Group inked a “career-spanning partnership” with the David Bowie estate, covering the “Space Oddity” creator’s recorded catalog. Now, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s estate is reportedly looking to sell his songwriting catalog for a cool $200 million.

sure, the original album, no ryko bonus tracks and a live concert CD from the era.

call it an anniversary edition and sell it at 3 times the regular price

If there's a new 71-72 concert in soundboard or multi track, I'm so there! Renny, have you seen a track listing? I really expected Armold Corns & the AC BBC session to be included

I noticed they began using Bowie music in commercials last year during the early pandemic when Walmart used "Heroes". That one kinda disappeared pretty quick.

"Life On Mars" is on the soundtrack to the upcoming movie Licorice Pizza and it looks like a winner.

This has been completed. Bowie's estate sold the rights to his publishing catalog for something over $250 million:

"David Bowie's estate has sold the global publishing rights to the late rocker's robust catalog to Warner Chappell Music in a deal estimated to be worth more than $250 million.

The agreement comprises songs from all 26 of Bowie's studio albums, from his 1967 self-titled debut through his 2016 album Blackstar, released two days before his death. It also includes the posthumous studio album Toy, which comes out Friday, the two studio albums released by the Bowie-fronted hard rock band Tin Machine and various singles from soundtracks and other projects."
